Yard Cleanup in Nassau County, Spring, Fall and After Storms
Need a yard cleanup in Nassau County? The first warm Saturday in March, everyone looks out the window at the same thing: matted leaves, broken branches and beds full of last year’s dead stems. We’re Arnol MR Landscaping, a father-and-son crew, and we get the whole yard cleared out and ready for the season.

A good cleanup clears out the mess so the lawn and plants can grow. We do the heavy work and haul the debris away so you’re not left with a pile of bags at the curb.
Spring cleanup
We rake out leaves that got stuck under shrubs and along fences, cut back ornamental grasses and last year’s perennials, pick up sticks, clear the beds and cut fresh edges. It’s the best time to put down new mulch too.
Fall cleanup
In fall we clear leaves, cut back perennials that are done, give the lawn a last mow and clean out the beds. Some plants, like coneflowers and sedum, can stay up over winter for the birds. We’ll ask what you prefer.
Storm cleanup
After a nor’easter or a summer thunderstorm, we pick up branches, cut up small limbs that came down and clear the lawn and walks.

What to do before a storm cleanup
Storms are when people get hurt doing yard work. Take a few minutes before anyone starts pulling branches.
- Look up first: branches that are cracked but still hanging can fall without warning. Stay out from under them.
- Stay away from wires: if a branch is on or near a power line, stay far back and call PSEG Long Island. Never touch it.
- Big trees are an arborist job: if a large tree came down or is leaning on the house, call a certified arborist. We handle the smaller branches and the cleanup after.
